Ram is coming: Ramayana and Ramcharit Manas are sacred texts of Hindu religion. Maharishi Valmiki has written Ramayana and Goswami Tulsidas has written Ramcharit Manas. While in Ramcharit Manas, there is description of Ramji’s coronation, in Ramayana, there is description of Shri Ram’s Mahaprayan (departure to the afterlife).
In the fifth part of Ram Aayenge, we learned that the four sons of King Dasharatha, Ramchandra, Bharat, Shatrughan and Lakshman, were named by Maharishi Vashishtha. Along with this, Vashishtha ji also told about the meaning and importance of the name Ram. After birth, Ramlala was named Dashrath Raghav, but during the naming ceremony, Maharishi Vashishtha named him ‘Ram’.
Now in the sixth part of Ram Aayenge, we will know about Ramlala’s childhood games and pastimes. Not only did the childhood pastimes of the Lord make the hearts of father Dasharatha and mother Kaushalya happy, but the Lord also gave happiness to all the townspeople with His charming childish form and childish games. Mother Kaushalya would sometimes rock her son and sometimes swing him in the cradle.
Tulsidas beautifully describes the childhood form and pastimes of Shri Ram –
Children’s stories are very simple. Sing Sarad Sesha Sambhu Shruti.
Due to which the mind cannot listen to them. Those people were saved by Bidhaata॥1॥
Meaning:- Saraswati, Sheshji, Shivji and Vedas have sung the very innocent and charming childhood pastimes of Ramchandra. The creator deprived those people whose mind was not attached to these pastimes.
Children’s character Hari Bahubidhi Kinha. Where did you give so much joy?
It’s been a long time, brother. When the family grows up, it gives them happiness.1॥
Meaning:- God performed many kinds of pranks and gave immense pleasure to His servants. After some time, all four brothers grew up and brought happiness to their families.
Which Guru did Chudakaran go to? Biparnh Puni Dachhina Bahu Pai.
Very beautiful character Apara. Chariyu Sukumara continues to roam around.2॥
Meaning:-Then Guruji went and performed the Chudakarma-Sanskar (head shaving). Brahmins again received a lot of Dakshina. The four handsome princes play very charming and immense characters.
Man kram bachan agochar joi. Dasaratha Ajir Bichar Prabhu Soi.
Speak while the king is eating. Nahin Aavat Taji Bal Samaja॥3॥
Meaning:-Those who are invisible through mind, words and deeds, they are roaming in the courtyard of Lord Dashrathji. When the king calls for a meal, he does not leave the company of his childhood friends and come.
Beautiful hearing smooth cupola. Very dear Madhur Totare said.
Chicken Kach Kunchit Gabhuare. Mother created and decorated in many ways.
Meaning: Has beautiful ears and very beautiful cheeks. Sweet spoken words sound very lovely. Smooth and curly hair that has been there since birth, which the mother has styled and groomed in many ways.
When Kausalya went to speak. Thumuku Thumuku Lord, let’s go, stranger.
There is no end to corporate policy. That’s where my mother stubbornly attacks.
Meaning: When Mata Kaushalya goes to call, Prabhu runs away. Those whom the Vedas describe as ‘Neti’ and those whom Shiva has not found their end, the Mother stubbornly runs to catch them.
Tanu came to fill the gray dust. Bhupati sat on his lap.
Meaning: He (Ram) came with his body covered in dust and the king laughed and made him sit in his lap.
While eating, the playful mind gets such opportunities.
Let’s go to Kilkat, wrap my mouth with milk and clothes.
Meaning: Eat food, but mind is restless. Taking the opportunity, they ran here and there screaming, with curd and rice in their mouths.
